Blackbirds Fun for Kids Holiday Club 2020
Terms and Conditions

Online bookings and payments

The Blackbirds Online booking system 2020 requires you to create an account for your family. This allows multiple children to be booked at the same time.

Due to current restrictions our numbers are limited and we are unable to offer as much flexibility as previously.

The minimum length of a booking is four hours.

Key Workers will be given priority where possible. This may be via advance access to our booking system. Key Worker status will be verified by the Manager.

Please only book the sessions you require. If your situation changes and you no longer require the space, please let Blackbirds know as soon as possible.

You can add, remove and change your bookings until they are submitted to Blackbirds.

Once submitted to Blackbirds, your request for spaces will be allocated by Blackbirds. You will be informed via email which spaces have been allocated to your children and the cost for these. You may receive these in batches so please check your account regularly. Once you are allocated spaces, payment becomes due.

Our current fees are: £5 per hour (minimum £20). This will be discounted to £4.75 per hour when the daily booking is greater than five hours. (Summer 2020)

Payment should be made promptly, and Blackbirds reserves the right to resell any unpaid for spaces, however this should not be assumed and allocated spaces will be charged to your account. By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you agree to pay Blackbirds for sessions allocated to your account.

Discounted rates are only available when the total due is fully paid in advance.

Our preferred payment method is by Paym mobile payment to 07961 824049 (Blackbirds Fun for Kids Ltd). We also accept bank transfers. Please use your child's name as a reference where possible. We would prefer not to take cash/cheque payments currently.

If you wish to cancel sessions without charge you must give four weeks written notice (text or email accepted).

If Blackbirds is unable to run, we will endeavour to give refunds or session credits (to the value) where possible.

Any collection after the agreed time will incur an additional charge. The latest time for collection of children is 5:45pm. A higher fee will be charged after this time.

Covid-19 Protective measures

Please ensure you and your family are aware of and follow current government guidance. Anyone who has coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms, must not attend Blackbirds Fun For Kids. This also applies if a member of your household or bubble has symptoms or if they have been advised by NHS Test & Trace as ‘a close contact’ to isolate at home.

Blackbirds have also put in place the following protective measures:

  • Parents/ carers are requested to drop off and collect children from the car park. Please call 07572006388 to let us know when you arrive so a member of staff can come out to ensure a safe handover.

  • encouraging staff and children attending to clean their hands more often than usual, including before and after activities and before and after using toilet/washroom facilities

  • ensuring good respiratory hygiene by promoting the ‘catch it, bin it, kill it’ approach. Tissues, lidded bins and hand washing facilities will be readily available

  • cleaning frequently touched surfaces more often than usual using standard products, such as detergent or bleach

  • increased frequency of cleaning of toilets and washrooms

  • minimising contact and mixing between groups of children by altering the environment to allow for social distancing between children and limiting the number of children attending each day

  • Cleaning the room and equipment daily

  • Encouraging outdoor activities
